Through educational events, publications, and advocacy efforts, we aim to raise awareness, provide scholarships, challenge unjust systems, and promote inclusive policies.

UWS raised $5,200 in cash donations along with in-kind donations of toys, clothes, bedding, and food for Hogar Mis Primeros Pasos in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, supporting building maintenance, AC repair, and daily operations.
2025 Essay Competition Reach: Successfully distributed contest information to approximately 300 middle school students via WhatsApp and Instagram during the summer of 2025
On December 23, 2024, UWS organized a beach cleanup effort at Ganto Beach in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. Braving the heat and rugged shoreline, participants worked tirelessly throughout the day to collect and remove approximately 90 gallons of garbage from the coastal area.
From February 23–27, 2026, our community came together in an incredible show of generosity for the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico (Bayamón). In just five days, we didn’t simply collect supplies—we invested in the future of the students at Escuela Dr. Hiram González.
✨ $5,289 raised to support the Club’s General Fund
📚 Donated supplies including school materials, art supplies, books, sports equipment, and toys
🥫 Essential support through collected non-perishable food and clothing
Since 1967, the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico (Bayamón) has been a cornerstone of the Urbanización San Fernando community—empowering young people through education, mentorship, and opportunities that help break the cycle of poverty.
At United We Stand PR, we are proud to support this mission and stand alongside organizations that are creating real change for the next generation.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone from neighboring communities who donated and supported this effort. Because of you, these students have the tools and resources they need to learn, grow, and lead.
Together, we are building a stronger future—one child, one family, and one community at a time.
A small act of giving, a big impact on a child’s life
Be the voice for the voiceless forests.
Cleaning the coast, one piece of plastic at a time.
Together with our community, UWS proudly delivered $5,300 in direct financial support along with essential goods to Hogar de Niñas de Cupey, a vital organization serving young female survivors in Puerto Rico. This contribution reflects the collective power of generosity, compassion, and action.
Every dollar raised and every item donated—ranging from school supplies and personal hygiene essentials to menstrual products and daily necessities—directly supports the girls’ everyday needs and long-term, holistic development. These resources help create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where residents can focus on healing, education, and building confidence for their future.
Hogar de Niñas de Cupey plays a critical role in empowering young women through care, education, and emotional support. We are honored to stand alongside them and contribute to their mission of restoring dignity, stability, and opportunity to those who need it most.
On August 18, 2025, students pause—not for the bell, but for a small surprise. Standing with a box of chocolates and a big smile is 13-year-old Carolina Wahlman, who thinks writing can change the world because it allows people to share ideas, challenge unfairness, and inspire others. So she has come up with a fun idea: an essay competition! She gave chocolates to promote the contest. It's not going to be boring homework—it's a chance for students at SIS to become better writers and independent thinkers.

We are asking one bold question:
Can the goals of promoting freedom of speech at school and creating a welcoming environment for all students coexist or are they mutually exclusive?

Earlier this year, we brought you news of an essay competition for students, created by United We Stand PR. The organisation was proud to celebrate the winners at an inaugural awards ceremony for the competition, held on December 6 at the At Six Hotel in Stockholm. The competition invited students from Stockholm International School to reflect on a timely and challenging question: whether freedom of speech in schools can truly coexist with the need to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
